Laz at the Piedmont Blues Festival

Laz is a solo artist that has earned tenure with a number of bands local to the Southwest Virginia area.  Some of the bands that he played with in years past include Houserockin’ John and the Hyper Brothers, TON-DEF, Last Call and the CS Blues Connection to name a few.  With vocal stylings that have been compared to Jeff Healey, Billy Gibbons and Jim Morrison, you then add in custom crafted soulful guitar licks influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Steve Ray Vaughn, and Zakk Wylde to name but a few.  What you end up with is a powerful sound and melodic train that never fails to deliver.

Laz has been fortunate enough over the years to share the stage with some of the greats in the music industry, including some of his heroes like Buddy Guy, W.C. Clark, Wet Willie, The Thrillbillys, and even John R. Decker of the Critters original lineup.  Those were some good times let me assure you.  Come on back here soon, Laz is back in the studio and has been writing and recording like a crazy person, so hopefully we’ll have something here for you to listen to soon.  Maybe we’ll even pull some of the old stuff out of the moth balls and post it here to honor the times gone by.
